Year by year, we have seen the MSI Stealth laptops getting better gradually, and finally, we have the MSI GS76 Stealth-GS7611281 laptop in our hands to test out. Hence, if you are also a fan of this amazing laptop lineup from MSI, we will be digging through the chassis of this laptop to find out if it lives up to our expectations or not. Performance

Since the main highlight of the MSI GS76 Stealth laptop is its performance, let’s discuss that first. In our opinion, it’s clearly a great laptop choice to have if you are someone who likes to game for longer hours, or do any kind of other heavy tasks. With the latest 11th Gen. 8-core Intel Core i9 processor which accelerates up to 4.9GHz, no task seems like a difficulty for this laptop as it’s almost 50% better than the previous generation processors, and offers up to 2 times L3 cache size for better performance. 

In case you are concerned about gaming performance, the GS76 comes equipped with the class-leading NVIDIA® GeForce RTX 3080 Laptop GPU which barely has any other competitor nearing its level of performance. Since the latest 30-series GPUs are almost 21%, it’s one of the most powerful laptops out there. You even get the benefits of ray-tracing, DLSS, and dynamic boost technology for a revolutionary gaming experience.

Storage and RAM 

Coming over to the Storage and RAM section, the MSI GS76 stealth laptop is built to impress. Featuring Next-Gen PCIe Gen4 Lanes, it boasts a hyperspeed PCIe x4 NVMe M.2 SSD of 2TB capacity which is more than enough for any individual’s usage. Apart from that, the benefit of Gen4 lanes is clearly noticeable as it performs almost 2x faster than any other laptop with Gen3 lanes. 

Even in terms of memory, MSI hasn’t left any room for complaints as the GS76 Stealth laptop comes with 64GB (16G*2) dual-channel DDR4 3200MHz RAM which is undoubtedly a great configuration for any laptop. With such good RAM capacity, we don’t think you will find any issues running multiple heavy tasks on this machine since its multitasking efficiency is already touching the roof.

Design

Who doesn’t like a powerful beast laptop disguised in a thin and low-profile design? It’s the coolest combination you can find, and MSI GS76 Stealth just provides you with that. Looking at its thin chassis, you can’t tell that this laptop boasts all the top-notch hardware inside. Although the design is pretty clean and sophisticated, MSI has paid great attention to its cooling system. Air vents are given all around the laptop, and it has around 3 fans with 0.1 mm thin blades and 6 heat pipes. With this new design, MSI successfully achieved up to 15% better airflow for this laptop as compared with the previous Stealth Laptop models. 

Display

To be honest, it’s one of the smoothest displays that we have tested so far, and all the credit goes to the 360 Hz refresh rate. For sure, if you are a gamer, this is going to be one of the major reasons that will attract you a lot. Although this model has a 17.3 inches FHD 4K display, there are other variants that offer better resolution, but with slightly less refresh rate. Hence, the GS7611281 model is the best in our eyes. In fact, we must mention that it’s an IPS panel, so you can even use this laptop for photo and video editing purposes as the output is highly color-accurate and precisely sharp. Moreover, with 4.9mm thin bezels, it offers an 84% screen ratio which feels highly immersive while gaming. 

Keyboard and Touchpad

No wonder, the Per-key RGB Gaming Keyboard By Steelseries makes this laptop look quite appealing, but we are more concerned about the typing experience here. In terms of design and looks, it’s undoubtedly a beautiful keyboard for such a stealthy laptop. However, when it comes to typing, the membrane keyboard seems too soft, despite having 1.9mm key travel. If you have been using such keyboards on your previous laptops as well, you won’t find any issues using this one either. On the other hand, the trackpad is what MSI has really improved compared to previous models as it’s now more precise, and responsive.

Connectivity

As said by MSI, the GS76 Stealth is the first laptop to offer the Wi-Fi 6E technology in the world. Apart from that, it also features the latest Bluetooth 5.2 which makes it even better in terms of wireless connectivity. As far as the I/O ports are concerned, we are surprised to see so many ports included in such a thin chassis. It features 2 x USB3.2 Gen2 Type-A, 1x Thunderbolt™ 4 (w/PD Charging); 1 x USB 3.2Gen2 Type-C/DP, 1 x HDMI, 1 x SD Card Reader, a 2.5G Ethernet port, 1 x Audio Combo Jack. We guess MSI didn’t miss a single thing to include here, quite impressive.  

Battery Life

Everyone knows that gaming laptops are generally not good in terms of battery backup. However, is it the same case with the MSI GS76 Stealth laptop as well? To make this laptop a good consideration for the customers, MSI used a 99.9Whr 4-cell Battery on this laptop which turned out to be an amazing move for them. With such a large battery capacity, this laptop offers 11 hours of runtime on average which is quite good as compared to other gaming laptops in the market. 

Overall Thoughts about the MSI GS76 Stealth Laptop

In our eyes, the MSI GS76 Stealth laptop is actually a very good deal since you get all the latest hardware configuration, in a thin and stealthy design. Whether you want to use this laptop for business-related purposes, or just for gaming in your spare time, this laptop has specs to impress every individual user out there. However, there are a few things that we didn’t like such as its weight and the typing experience of its new keyboard, but that’s not a deal-breaker at all. While all the other aspects like performance, battery life, design, connectivity are absolutely top-notch, you can consider investing in this laptop any day.
